Wilmington Christian School

WCS to participate in Delaware BLUE- GOLD Program

This year Wilmington Christian School has been asked to participate in the Delaware Blue-Gold Program for the first time. Seniors Kirsten Gooden and Ian Kaliakin are the senior ambassadors representing our school and Andy Smith and Claire Webster are our junior ambassadors.

The Blue-Gold Program is run by the Delaware Foundation for Reaching Citizens. DFRC is an organization that brings public awareness that people with disabilities are people first and that their disability is merely a part of the whole person. For more info on The Blue-Gold Program, visit their website: blue-gold.org.

In an effort to raise funds for The Blue-Gold Program, WCS students are hosting a dodge ball tournament April 24th in the high school gym. The time has been changed to 3:00 p.m. so come out and support the cause! The price for admission is two dollars for spectators and all proceeds go to Blue-Gold Program.

WCS is also having a Friendly’s fundraiser night on May 3rd from 5-8 pm; all proceeds will be donated to the Blue-Gold Program.

It’s now time to purchase your ticket to the Blue-Gold football game that is one June 19th. To purchase tickets visit http://www.dfrcfoundation.org/football and when ordering remembering to tell DFRC that you are supporting WCS.
