Bio:

Mrs. Stephanie Galbraith is a WCS alumnus (1999) and a former WCS teacher. As the WCS international program coordinator, she is the first contact for agencies or students who are interested in coming to WCS. Stephanie assists agencies and families in the admissions process.  After a Skype interview and reviewing paperwork, students can apply in order to be accepted into the International Program.  Once a student is accepted our Host Family Coordinator works on finding a host family that would be a good fit for the student.  Stephanie also supports the students as the Student Coordinator.  In this role she provides an orientation for all international students to help them acclimate to the new environment and to help ease the transition.  Each month she meets with students on a one on one basis as well as leading a weekly international student lunch time in which important announcements are shared and students can have fellowship just as a International group.  Monthly events are planned for the group and some months special lunches are brought in to enjoy. As the Student Coordinator Stephanie is checking on the students overall progress within the school and home.  If there are any concerns she works with the students, families, and the school to find a solution to work through any issues that may arise.

Bio:

Mrs. Kelli Pitman is a WCS alumnus (1989) and currently teaches 4th grade at WCS. As the host family coordinator for WCS international program, Kelli assists families in the hosting process by providing families student background information, proper paperwork, and communicates with biological families or agencies when assigning families to students.  She supports host families through the entire hosting process and creates very thorough  monthly reports that are shared with biological parents and agencies  to see the students progress.  She evaluates how the relationships and adjustments are going for the student and families within the home.   Our international program provides host families training and preparation in August prior to the students arrival.  It is our goal for students and families to build a relationship and for the international student to have a positive experience and learn how to excel academically while families minister to them and show Christ in their home.
