The purpose of chapel at WCS is to proclaim the Word of God, to pray and worship the Lord together. As God’s Word is spoken, sung, and taught we trust that the Holy Spirit will bring those who are lost to come to know Jesus personally, and we who are saved, He will “teach, rebuke, correct, and train in righteousness, so that we will be equipped for every good work.” (taken from II Timothy 3:16-17) Chapel will also be an opportunity for students to lead and serve, and to see examples of others serving the Lord in ministries and missions.
Most chapels include contemporary worship, prayer, and the sharing of God’s Word by a speaker from the WCS community’s churches, Christian ministries, and parents.
Chapels are held once a week, usually on Fridays, at the following times and locations:

The High School has Chapel in the Auditorium on Fridays from 8:12-8:52. The Student Worship Team leads a time of corporate praise and prayer and then an invited speaker brings a challenge from God’s Word. The Student Worship Team is made up of mostly upperclassmen who are committed to serving the Lord as “lead worshipers” during our chapels and to living a life of worship daily.

The Middle School has chapel together in the Auditorium on Fridays from 8:55-9:32. The Student Worship Team along with a worship video leads in a time of corporate praise and prayer and then an invited speaker brings a challenge from God’s Word.
