Scriptural Principles to Encourage Students in their Christian Walk

Download: WCS HS Handbook 2017-2018

As Christians we believe that students should strive to reflect the attitudes and characteristics of the Lord Jesus Christ as portrayed in the Word of God. Jesus instructs us in Matthew 22:37-39 that the greatest commandment is “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” and the second greatest is “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The following characteristics are indicative of true Christians who are growing in knowledge and love for Jesus Christ. These characteristics are drawn from the source of truth itself, the Holy Word of God. Students are encouraged to read these and other related passages to discover for themselves the way of life which God desires us to follow.
