"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10
Community Service RequirementThe Community Service Program requires all high school students to provide 40 hours of community service at one organization within a twelve-month period. A core requirement for graduation, a student’s community service may start any time after 8th grade and must be completed by the end of the first semester of the senior year.
The Community Service Program at Wilmington Christian School provides practical experience in creating and cultivating good works, for the glory of God. Through the program, students help others, meet new people, are exposed to different worldviews, and discover gifts that they can use throughout life. Many students purposefully leverage their time in community service as a means to experiment with facets of what may eventually become their God-given vocation. If you have any questions about the Community Service Program, please contact the High School Office (302-239-2121, ext. 3437). |
