NHS Christina River Clean-Up

The WCS Chapter of the National Honor Society participated in the Christina River Clean-Up on Saturday, April 14. Ten students and advisor helped pull trash out of Naamans Creek (a tributary of the Christina River) which prevented it from washing down into the Delaware River and out to sea. Students helped remove about 30 pounds of trash plus tires, a baseball bat and a recliner. The weather was beautiful and students got to see rare spring ephemeral flowers in bloom and meet with representatives from CleanWaterDelaware.
