WCS Blood Drive

“Have you heard?

WCS is hosting a blood drive on May 17th from 9am-1pm to
help patients in local hospitals!

Blood Bank of Delmarva is a non-profit community service organization that provides blood and blood products to all 16 hospitals on the Delmarva Peninsula. More than 83,000 blood donations are needed in this area each year for about 20,000 patients across the Delmarva Peninsula. They need 350 donors every day in order to maintain our blood supply!

Our goal for having a blood drive is to encourage students  to donate. We
strive to give them a positive experience so that they will continue giving
blood in the future. We will try to fill the schedule with students first,
but we typically do not completely fill the schedule. If you are interested
in donating at our blood drive, we will take your information and fill in
the schedule once our students have signed up. Please contact our school
nurse, Kris Sayler if you are interested. You may email her at
ksayler@wilmingtonchristian.org  or call 302-239-2121 x3003.

If you are not able to donate at our blood drive, you can still get credit
for our school by filling out a Hero Card and turning it in to the
receptionist the next time you donate at one of the Blood Bank of Delmarva’s
centers or mobile locations.”
